Climbing Above the Clouds! Visitors are Welcome.

CLIMBING ABOVE THE CLOUDS
“The sufferfest is worth the sense of accomplishment and of course there is the view!!” George Krall and Garren Echols present Climbing Above the Clouds, a narrative highlighting their climbing adventure on Denali in Alaska this year. Their presentation will cover:

Preparation
– Training
– Gear assessment/testing

On Mountain Management
– Day to day task and maintenance.
– Changing Plans & Decisions

Post Trip Evaluation – After Action Report
– What other decisions could we have made
– What would we have done differently

George Krall, like a lot of AMC members and climbers is an engineer. He writes, “I think the planning, logistics, how to get from step one to step two and suffering all go well with both engineering and climbing. I truly enjoyed the problem solving of being on the ice or in the mountains but for me it really is the aesthetics, being in the mountains or on trails is just beautiful and peaceful”.

Garren Echols, often referred to as “G” is a Father, Husband, Climber and Builder born in the worlds RADEST play ground – Telluride Colorado. A bit of an adrenaline junkie, Garren has found his experience in planning, logistics, safety, execution and suffering from his time in US Army and as well as his current profession to align well with the skills required in mountaineering.

Please come and join us for this informative and exciting presentation about climbing Denali!!
