The outing date is Sat., October 27, 2018. The outing leader is Frank Vers. Note: Frank has asked for some extra help in setting up the climbs and portering gear to the crag in the early AM. Please contact Frank through his e-mail Climbrox@gmail.com to offer assistance and coordinate energies.
This is a great outing for recent Basic School grads to get out and climb a lot in a day. AMC Membership is Required to Participate.
Car-pool location: Meet 8:00 AM at Starbucks in the shopping center south east of US 60 and Stapley Dr., by the AMC Theater. 1641 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa , AZ 85204.
Clean-up portion: Highway Clean up first from 9~10:30 AM. Feel free to head directly to the Oak Flat turn-off to plenty of parking and meet at 9:00 AM if you don’t want to meet and carpool from Mesa. Don’t forget gloves for clean up portion, water, snacks, lunch, sunscreen. Hand wipes and a hat are always helpful.
Climbing portion: Upper Devil’s Canyon, Pancake House area ~ 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM or so, sometimes later.
Dinner: at Los Hermanos or Porter’s Cafe in Superior, maybe 5:00 PM or so.
