PARTICIPANT SELECTION: AMC Members ONLY. Must be 18 years of age. Preference given to beginners and those who took AMC Basic Rock Climbing Course Fall 2018. WAITLIST – When you RSVP, you’ll be asked for your full name, email, and phone number and assigned to the waitlist. We are using the waitlist function to verify membership. Individuals who do not respond to the Meetup question when RSVPing or do not have current AMC membership may be moved to Not Going by the outing leader. Attendee list is at the sole discretion of the outing leader, all of whom are volunteers.
TRANSPORTATION: Meet at 6:45am at the benches near the restrooms at Echo Canyon Parking Lot. Please car pool, if possible. If there are no parking spots left, we will direct you to alternate parking close to Echo Canyon.
ACCESS: 15 minute moderate approach.
GEAR REQUIREMENT: You will be an active team member. This is not a guided tour. You will need to carry rope and other common gear so bring an appropriate pack to accommodate this. Also bring: food, water (3 liters minimum), headlamp, windproof/waterproof shell, hat, approach footwear, personal first aid kit, helmet, sunglasses, sun screen, climbing shoes, harness, personal anchor, prusik cords, locking carabiners, camera (optional) and whatever else you may need to stay comfortable for the day (e.g. warm clothing).
END TIME: We plan to be back to the parking lot no later than 12.
